About Us

Meet the owner – Kassondra worked as a veterinary technician for a decade before deciding to become a Certified Dog Trainer in the Raleigh, NC area.  Working in the vet field, she observed a wide range of behavioral issues and bad mannered dogs.  These experiences influenced her to help owners create trusting, mutual bonds that allow them to enjoy their lives with their dogs to the fullest without worry or embarrassment.  Kassondra completed a comprehensive certification course through Animal Behavior College.  She is certified in Dog Training, Pet CPR, and Pet Massage.  Kassondra loves to spend her free time hanging out and working with her own dogs, Rock and Ludo.

Meet the inspiration - Ludo is a wonderful Shepard/Lab mix and a true gentleman.  His litter came into the veterinary hospital Kassondra was working at when he was only 2 days old.  It was love at first sight and he came home at 5 weeks.  The understanding relationship he has with Kassondra has inspired her to give this remarkable gift to other dog owners.  Ludo shows off his intelligence by participating in research studies through the Canine Cognition Center at Duke University.  After 6 years of service as a blood donor at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine and numerous puppy lives saved, he is now retired.  Ludo is an AKC Advanced Canine Good Citizen and helps Kassondra on the job with his amazing ability to calm other dogs.

raleighdogtraining2   Meet the newbie -  Rock is an exuberant and very sweet Border Collie who was  adopted by Kassondra at 6 weeks old through a rescue group she volunteered with.  He loves running at full speed and soaring through the air to catch frisbees and tennis balls.  At a young age he started falling over when landing and having a hard time getting around after play.  Rock was diagnosed at 11 months old with hip dysplasia.  Even though agility and other sports are now out of the question, Rock still enjoys swimming and other low impact activities like Nose Work to keep his intelligent mind and athletic body busy.  Rock is an AKC Canine Good Citizen and also loves to put smiles on people’s faces as a Certified Therapy Dog.
